  My View on Computers

Computers have played an important part in our life. They can do most of the things people can do. Through computers, we can acquire knowledge and get the latest news. Computers have made the communication with our friends convenient and some young people are so interested in playing games on line that they even drop out of school. It is not the computers' depends on the users. We should make good use of computers.

  Friendship 友誼

Making friends is a skill like many other skills. It improves with practice. If you want to meet people and make friends, you must be willing to take some actions. You must first go where there are people. You won’t make friends staying home alone. Join a club or a group. Taking with those who like the same things as you do is much easier. Or join someone in some activities. Many people are nervous when talking to new people. After all meeting strangers means facing the unknown. And it’s human nature to feel a bit uncomfortable about the unknown. Most of our fears about dealing with new people come from doubts about ourselves. We imagine other people are judging us of finding us too tall or to short, too this or too that. But don’t forget that they must be feeling the same way. Try to accept yourself as you are and try to put the other person at ease. You’ll both feel more comfortable.

Try to be self-comfident even if you don’t feel that way. When you enter a room full of strangers, such as a new classroom, walk tall and straight, look directly at other people and smile.

If you see someone you like to speak to, say something . don’t wait for the other person to start a conversation.

Just meeting someone new does not mean that you will make friends with that person-friendship is based on mutual liking and “give and take”. It takes time and effort to develop.

高考英語滿分作文:parks want to collect the tickets 公園要不要收門票?

Dear editor,

I’m writing to tell you about the discussion we have had about whether an entrance fee should be charged for parks. 60% of us schoolmates think that an entrance fee do not meet people’s expectations, for a park is considered to be a place where the public can have a good time when they are not busy either at home or at work. If an entrance fee must be paid by the visitors for a park, it will be necessary to build a gate and surrounding walls. In the end a city will take on a bad look. 40% of us schoolmates think that an entrance fee can be accepted, but it must not be too expensive. The money from ticket selling can be used for paying the gardeners in the park and buying some other kinds of flowers and trees.

With regard to myself, I think an entrance fee is useful, for it can be used to protect a park. Do we share the same opinion, dear editor?

Yours truly,

Li Hua

  Habits 習慣

Habits, whether good or bad, are gradually formed. When a person does a certain thing again and again, he will be obliged to do it in the same way by some unseen force. Once a habit is formed, it's difficult or even impossible to change or get rid of it. Therefore, it's of great importance that we should pay attention to the formation of habits.

Good habits have many advantages. For example, going to bed early and rising early help us build a healthy body. Diligence helps to success. Honesty helps to win the respect and trust of others.

If we form bad habits, such as rudeness, laziness, lying and stealing, we might be mind by these habits.

In short, good habits helps us be better and bad habits make us worse, so we should try hard to form good habits and keep far from bad habits.

  Adieu, Cinema!

Adieu, Cinema! (A)

In 1957, as many as 900,000,000 people went to the cinema, whereas the number of TV viewers was 400,000,000. Three years later, 500,000,000 cinema-goers vs 500,000,000 TV viewers the same. In 1963, the cinema fell, compared with TV. In 1974, only 70,000,000 went to the cinema, but as many as 800,000,000 peoplewatched TV.

Although the cinema has its own unreplacable merits, the television can do most of the things the cinema does, and more importantly, people can stay at home with their famfiy, watching what belongs to both TV and the cinema. In rainy days no one wfil think of the cinema except for some special reasons.

People like TV better for another reason. They can choose anything they like, just by switching from one channel to another. But in the cinema, you have no choice, if you don't want to come again for something le for band 6

Silence Is Not Always Gold

Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a co?ttposition on the topic Silence Is Not Always Gold. You should write at least 120 outline given below in Chinese:

(Silence Is Not Always Gold)

"Silence is gold" is a popular saying in which many people have belief that these people speaking too much is not a merit.

However, if you always keep silent, you will probably miss many golden opportunities instead of obtaining the gold of silence. Last week I read an article written by an office lady. The company where she worked had two kinds of offices: cubicle office and window office. As a new employee she worked in a cubicle office together with twenty colleagues. Two years later she still worked there but some colleagues who came later than her had moved into the window office. She felt confused. One day one colleague told her that window office wasn't obtained without request. But believing that she certainly gained one if she did a good job the woman had never asked for it.

From the woman's experience we not always told, we know that in the modern society one needs to speak his mind and speak for his own interests.
