一天夜晚，燈光下媽媽在家裏邊做玩具，邊看着新聞。我在書房裏看書。突然，媽媽叫着：“穎兒，快來看！這新聞上的工人在和外國人說着什麼？”我跑出來一看，只見電視上正在播放着一羣外國人在參觀一個玩具公司，一個外國人正在和一位工人用英語在交談着的新聞。

“媽媽，我剛開始學的也聽不明白，不過播音員不是解釋着嗎？”我搖搖頭說。

“快看，這工人最後說的Goodbye（再見）是什麼意思？”

“那是再見的.意思。您不也初中畢業嗎？您怎麼聽不懂英語呢？”

“哎，別提了，那時我學習很不認真，成天只知道玩，現在後悔也來不及了。”媽媽深情地望了望我，“穎兒，你一定要好好學習呀，不能像媽媽這樣一無所長呀。”

I study Chinese, math, English and some other subjects at school.
