Today， I found more and more students wear glasses。 It’s not a good phenomenon because it means more and more students can’t use their eyes in a right way。 After doing a survey， I think there are two reasons to cause near eyesight。

First， there are more and more computer games in the 21st centre， most boys like play them。 Although games are interesting， their eyesight became worse and worse at the same time。 So they had to wear glasses。

Secondly， the students who love reading stories want to read all the time， even sometimes they read their novels until very late and their eyes become very tired。 Their eyes got worse because they didn’t use enough light to read。 Reading is fun， but remembers to use enough light when you read。 In the end， they had to wear glasses， too。

We should take this matter seriously。 Can you imagine that in the future， all the people need glasses to help them see clearly and without glasses， they could see nothing?

In recent years, drought has prevailed in northern parts of our country. There is no or only little rain in spring and summer in the noth and northeast of China. The same is true of snow in winter.

Consequently, big cities such as Beijing and Tianjin are short of water every year, which affects the life of the urban people and the production of factories. And the drought is most felt by crops in rural areas, of course. It is said the drought has much to do with the "green house effect" and the "greenhouse effect" is caused by the pollution of the atmosphere. In the final analysis, it is brought about by ourselves.

Faced with the terrible drought, we should stop polluting the air right away. We should try all means to decrease the amount of poisonous gases which our factories and cars give off. Besides, we should take measures to protect the forests and plant as many trees as possible.

I don't understand why cann't she control her temper. my wife is the high-power,career driven type. she is very good to me but is also bossy and manipulative sometimes. She works for a start-up company in healthcare as a manager and the work gives her lots of stress. tonight, she came back very late as usual. we had a small talk, then I asked her did you send my mail out today? she said no i forgot. i was a little upset cause i assumed she did and wrote to the friend.

i could send it out next monday, anyway, it doesnt make much of a difference if it arrives one or two days sooner. she said. dont worry, it's ok. please do remember this time. "why didn't you remind me? why everyone ask me to do this and that? why should I do all the work."she yelled, "I didn't sleep well for a long time and is very depressed. I feel like breaking stuff. She continued.

I feel very upset too not because other reason but because she anger she unleashed on me. it was nobody's fault. though i may looked little disappointed, I understand her situation and didn't ask for a lot. she choosed the job, she is working for her goal. this is supposed to be good. why are we suffering. i tried to find an answer.

she went to bed, but I am in no mood to sleep. i could only write something about my feeling and hoping to get some comfort from friends here. as a man, I don't like to fight with women and even with a very strong personality. I am soft spoken and patient. men can control themselves, why can't women. maybe that is the difference.

What Is American Dream?

什麼是美國夢?

What is the American Dream? Is it the same for all Americans? Is it a myth? Is it simply a search for a better life? How has the American Dream changed over time? Some see their dreams wither and die while others see their dreams fulfilled. Why? Everyone has dreams abut a personally fulfilled life... and what is your dream?

什麼是美國夢?所有的美國人都是一樣的嗎?它是虛構的事嗎?它是爲了追求更好的生活嗎?美國夢隨着時間是如何改變的?有些人的夢想破滅了而有些人卻實現了夢想。是什麼原因呢?每個人都有自己想要實現的夢想，你的夢想是什麼呢?

The term American Dream was first used by James Adams in his book The Epic of America which was written in 1931. He states: The American Dream is that dream of a land in which life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement. It is a difficult dream for the European upper classes to interpret adequately, and too many of us ourselves have grown tired and mistrustful of it. It is not a dream of cars and high wages merely, but a dream of social order in which each man and each woman shall be able to get to the fullest stature of which they are capable, and be recognized by others for what they are, regardless of the fortuitous circumstances of birth or position."

And what did the desire of the veteran of World War II—to settle down, to have a home, a car and a family—tell us about this Dream? Is the American Dream attainable by all Americans? Would Martin Luther King feel his Dream was attained? Did Malcolm X realize his Dream?

Some say, that the American Dream has become the pursuit of material prosperity—that people work more hours to get bigger cars, fancier homes, the fruits of prosperity for their families—but have less time to enjoy their prosperity. Others say that the American Dream is beyond the reach of the working poor who must work two jobs for their family's survival. Yet others look toward a new American Dream with less focus on financial gain and more emphasis on living a simple, fulfilling life.

有人說，美國夢已經演變成對物質繁榮的追求——爲了買更高級的車，住更豪華的住宅，改善家庭經濟狀況，人們工作時間增長——卻沒有足夠時間來享受他們的勞動成果。也有人說是美國夢是那些努力工作，爲了養家一人兼兩職，但是報酬卻很低的窮人無法實現的。然而，還有一部分人開始追求新的美國夢，即注重簡單而充實的生活，更少地關注經濟利益。
