夜飲東坡醒復醉，歸來彷彿三更。家童鼻息已雷鳴。敲門都不應，倚杖聽江聲。
長恨此身非我有，何時忘卻營營。夜闌風靜縠紋平。小舟從此逝，江海寄餘生。
譯文
夜深宴飲在東坡的寓室裏醒了又醉，回來的時候彷彿已經三更。這時家裏的童僕早已睡熟鼾聲如雷鳴。輕輕地敲了敲門，裏面全不迴應，只好獨自倚着藜杖傾聽江水奔流的吼聲。
經常憤恨這個軀體不屬於我自己，什麼時候能忘卻爲功名利祿而奔競鑽營！趁着這夜深、風靜、江波坦平，駕起小船從此消逝，泛遊江河湖海寄託餘生。
註釋
東坡：在湖北黃岡縣東。蘇軾謫貶黃州時，友人馬正卿助其墾闢的遊息之所，築雪堂五間。
聽江聲：蘇軾寓居臨皋，在湖北黃 縣南長江邊，故能聽長江濤聲。
營營：周旋、忙碌，內心躁急之狀，形容爲利祿竟逐鑽營。
夜闌：夜盡。
縠紋：比喻水波細紋。縠，縐紗。

Drinking at Eastern Slope by night,
I sober, then get drunk again.
When I come back, its near midnight,
I hear the thunder of my houseboys snore;
I knock but no one answers the door.
What can I do but, leaning on my cane,
Listen to the rivers refrain?
I long regret I am not master of my own.
When can I ignore the hums of up and down?
In the still night the soft winds quiver
On ripples of the river.
From now on I would vanish with my little boat;
For the rest of my life on the sea I would float.
